With sound artist Patrick Cronin and the Placemaking and Interpretation team from Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne

Date: Wed 25 Feb

Time: 2pm – 5pm (meet at 1.45pm)

This workshop is an interactive, behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Sonica Botanica: Stories and Sounds from the Gardens- Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, Victoria’s multi-episode immersive sound experience. Participants will be invited to observe, listen and think creatively about how sound might be used to interpret the stories held by places such as the Gardens. Gain practical insights into collaborating with artists, thematic content development for audio, guest curation and the editing process, and hear how an artistic interpretive work like Sonica Botanica grows from an idea, to a commission, to a living project.
